When collecting, storing or retrieving your personal data, extensive internal controls are maintained throughout the process to ensure security and confidentiality. Our internet-based systems are protected behind firewalls, and all mission critical servers are deployed in a cluster environment to provide an even greater level of security and protection against system failure. All data is maintained and backed-up on a regular schedule to provide adequate redundancy and ensure that the integrity of information is never jeopardized. When transmitting information between you and our server, as well as when communicating with the IRS for electronic filing, data security is handled through a protocol called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is an established and mature internet security standard with web server authentication and data encryption. Is help available online while I'm filling out my return? Online help regarding the software and how to properly enter your information is available via the "Get Help" menu. Within this menu are resources to help you every step of the way. By using GoEfile.com, you have access to an online Tax Guide with over 500 pages of helpful information on any tax question you are likely to encounter. We also provide you with a unique "Ask a Professional" feature which allows you to email your specific tax questions to a Tax Professional for a personalized answer, within 24 hours. If for any reason you decide you cannot complete your return and you wish assistance. In the Ask a Professional section you can request a professional engagement with an experienced tax preparer from our parent company, Fiducial Business Centers, Inc. The preparer will contact you by email or telephone to describe the process and provide you a price quote. What's free? What charges are there? You can access the GoEfile system to prepare your tax return free of charge. There is no charge for filling out and calculating your return. You can choose to have the system print a fileable copy of your tax return and/or you can choose to have your return filed electronically. There is a charge for this service. There is no charge for the research tools. There is a charge of $4.95 for the live on line chat. What information do I need to enter a tax return into the GoEfile system? You will need all the relevant information you normally need to prepare your return. This will include all your income statements; W2, 1099s, etc. You will also need any deductible expense information such as mortgage interest, medical expenses, etc. It is also a good idea to have your prior year tax return handy. The easy-to-follow interview will lead you through the process. Do I have to finish my return all in one session? NO. You can leave your return and come back later to finish it. Will my return be available to me next year? Our internet tax service is available for beginning, completing and e-filing your return from approximately mid-January through mid-October of each tax year. To view your return information, you may access a free summary report and/or pay the GoEfile fee to print, view and electronically file your actual return. Once you have paid, you may access your tax return as often as you like. You may use your User ID and Password to access and modify your return information as often as needed during that time period. From mid-October through the end of December you can still complete and mail your return to the appropriate filing authorities if you began it prior to mid-October. Simply click on the "Continue Your 2009 Return" selection on the "Prepare Your Return" menu. After paying for your return, the financial information used to make your payment (e.g. credit card number), as well as the record of your payment, will not be retrievable by you.
